These two green beans were crossing the highway when one of them was hit by a semi. His buddy scrapes him up and rushes him to the hospital. "The bad news is he'll be a vegetable for the rest of his life." Most people don’t have the foggiest idea how vitally important greens are for our daily lives.
Deep leafy green vegetables, wheat grass, barley grass, alfalfa, spirulina and other blue green algae, of which we were taught from youth, were rather important for a FROG at best, all fall under the realm of “Super Foods”. This means these foods, which have abundant amounts of chlorophyll, are the most live of all foods, and therefore have tremendous rejuvenating potential for our bodies and our minds. Moreover they provide healing for such a plethora of ailments, its staggering! For example broccoli has been indicated through intense research to have a direct impact on the growth and pattern of cancer cells. Dandelion has been implicated with more stabilized blood sugar and better skin (because of its blood purifying ability), Collard Greens for eye support, Parsley to lower blood pressure, Alfalfa for IBS; Kale and Romaine use their bitter qualities for intestinal strength and healing. Just ask Popeye about spinach. The next level of chlorophyll rich substances is the grasses which have tremendous deodorizing quality for the body, with wheat grass and alfalfa at their head. Just squishing a little chlorophyll around the gums can profoundly limit periodontal disease and bad breath. Taken internally, body odors and profuse sweating are a thing of the past. Other benefits of the grasses are increased iron and iron absorption, ulcer healing, better respiration and lung function, antioxidant potential, blood purification and liver delox. The third group of live green foods is the blue green algae family. Spirulina, the most popular algae, a single celled algae, has more protein and nutrients per volume area than any other item on this earth, containing up to three grams of protein per tiny serving. The well documented sun chlorella is prized as containing the first elements of the sun’s energy. All these contain minimal calories, yet solid gigantic animals like elephants subsist solely on green foods. If you ate your way through an entire room of greens, the energy expenditured, along with the aerobic potential ingested would cancel out all the calories you ate. Greens are the most powerful elements in the universe, and perhaps the best disease preventatives. Disease may seem to happen suddenly, but in reality disease incubates. Greens have the ability to interrupt the disease incubation period, which can exist several years in a body, without manifesting any symptoms. I don’t believe there is another substance that can supercharge the system as quickly and powerfully as Wheat Grass .I remember one 60 year old woman in particular who limped into the Brooklyn store some time ago. She had complained of dozens of ailments including arthritis, colitis, acid reflux, and depression. With sighs of hopelessness, she innocently asked me, “What about that wheat grass; what is it all about?” I enthusiastically exclaimed, “Try it and you will be a different person.” And thus she tried it. She hasn’t missed a day in two years. I rarely see her without a smile and a kick her step. Her ill grievances have all vanished. I recently was informed that over 80% of Americans can suffer terrible painful and unexpected deaths from illness. I therefore, believe that a person cannot have a truly balanced diet void of deep leafy greens. I highly recommend including three to five servings of live green foods in the daily diet. Many people ask me, what really is live food? To sum it up in a sentence: anything uncooked, non-pasteurized unrefined, unprocessed, providing enough ready enzymes to digest itself. And if I haven’t convinced you about the truth of greens thus far, then go outside and see our gorgeous sun and thank your lucky stars (really thank G-d) that we are provided daily the most researched, abundant, alive substance on the planet, chlorophyll.
